About Parekh Eye Clinic · Since 1993
Two generations.
One commitment to better vision.
Parekh Eye Clinic is a family-run ophthalmology clinic in Mumbai, established in 1993 and led by Dr. Mukul Parekh and Dr. Kshitij Mukul Parekh, both M.S. ophthalmologists. From two branches in Ghatkopar East and Vikhroli East, the clinic provides examination-first eye care for children, working adults and seniors.

Years of combined experience
Dr. Mukul Parekh opened Parekh Eye Clinic in 1993 in Ghatkopar East, opposite the railway station and within easy reach of patients across eastern Mumbai. The practice was built on a simple routine: examine thoroughly, explain clearly, and recommend only what the examination supports.
A second branch in Vikhroli East brought the same care to another part of eastern Mumbai. Dr. Kshitij Mukul Parekh, also an M.S. ophthalmologist, practises alongside Dr. Mukul Parekh, and both doctors consult at both branches — so patients see the same faces whichever location is closer to home.
Three decades on, the clinic still sees many long-standing patients and their families. That continuity — across generations of patients and across two generations of doctors — is what the clinic is most proud of.
Care philosophy
How we practise.
Four habits that have not changed since 1993.
Examine first
Every opinion follows a full examination of both eyes. We do not advise surgery, lenses or procedures from a prescription alone.
Explain plainly
Findings are shown and explained in everyday language — what we see, what it means, and what the realistic options are.
Advise honestly
If waiting is the right answer, we say so. If LASIK or a premium lens is not suitable, we say that too.
Stay with you
The doctor who examines you is the doctor who treats you and sees you at follow-up — at either branch.
Our doctors
Two generations of eye care.
Dr. Mukul Parekh founded the clinic in 1993. Dr. Kshitij Mukul Parekh continues the practice alongside him. Both are M.S. ophthalmologists, with more than 50 years of combined experience.
Diagnostic approach
Measurements before opinions.
A consultation at Parekh Eye Clinic is structured around a comprehensive eye examination: vision and refraction, eye pressure, the front of the eye under magnification, and the retina and optic nerve at the back. Where surgery or LASIK is being considered, the eye is measured so that the procedure is planned around it.
Because many serious eye conditions — glaucoma in particular — develop without early symptoms, the clinic treats routine examination as the most important appointment of all, not a formality before treatment.
Treatment philosophy
The right treatment, at the right time — or none.
The clinic provides both medical and surgical ophthalmology: cataract surgery, glaucoma management, corneal care, LASIK evaluation, children's eye care, contact-lens fitting and comprehensive check-ups. Both doctors are M.S. ophthalmologists, qualified for surgical as well as medical care.
Treatment is recommended when the examination supports it and the benefit is clear to the patient. Options, timing and limitations are discussed openly, and when monitoring is the better course, that is what is advised.
